After consulting with the City of Big Bear Lake, we must regretfully make the tough decision to cancel this year's Big Bear Turkey Trot due to severe weather forecasted to impact Big Bear on Wednesday and Thursday. We are disappointed to miss out on bringing you our fun, festive event to kick off Thanksgiving. There are many factors that were considered in this decision. Safety is our top priority and we want to help keep you safe to enjoy your holiday. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, noting that Thanksgiving day travel will be "very difficult to impossible."

Earn your turkey dinner with fun, festive, and family friendly run on Thanksgiving morning!
The annual Big Bear Turkey Trot is held on Thanksgiving morning in the beautiful mountains of Big Bear Lake in Southern California. Choose from a 3, 6, or 9 mile run. A fun and festive venue with all three distance options on the same course make it easy for everybody to participate!
The Big Bear Turkey Trot is the signature event for Open Air Big Bear, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The event will benefit local food pantries and Open Air Big Bear, whose mission is to advance and celebrate outdoor, people-powered events and activities in Big Bear Valley.
Come ready to have fun and dress in your best turkey, bear, autumn, christmas costume or ? We’ve got prizes for the best participant costumes and the fastest runners; awards include turkeys, cupcakes, donuts and freshly made local pies.
The first 400 registrations receive an event T-shirt and commemorative souvenir at the event.

9 miles - 9:00 am
6 miles - 9:15 am
3 miles - 9:30 am
Registration Fees:
3 miles - $40 through October 15. $45 Oct 16-Nov 21. $50 Nov 22-27.
6 miles - $45 through October 15. $50 Oct 16-Nov 21. $55 Nov 22-27.
9 miles - $50 through October 15. $55 Oct 16-Nov 21. $60 Nov 22-27.
Youth 5-17 - $25 (any distance)
Locals: save $5 through November 15. Show ID or mail at Bib Pickup.

Same day registration will add $10 to the late registration fee - so sign up online early!
Online registration closes on Wednesday, November 27 at 3PM
Packet Pickup Options
#1 - Wednesday, November 27, 4-7PM. Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, 630 Bartlett Road, Big Bear Lake, CA.
#2 - Thursday, November 28 at the Event site, starting at 7AM. Meadow Park, 41220 Park Ave, Big Bear Lake, CA.
Children under the age of 5 may participate but only paid participants will receive shirts, medals, bibs, and prizes. Parents/guardians must sign a liability waiver for all non-registered children under the age of 5 the morning of the event.
Age and gender divisions/awards are subject to change based on the number of participants. Sorry, no refunds or transfers.
Parking
Parking is available in the Meadow Park lot next to Swim Beach and on City streets. You must follow all posted parking signs. Do not block driveways or park on private property. Thank you for your cooperation.
